Classic Ballroom Instructor Bios Angel Bush holds a BA degree in Dance with an emphasis in Choreography from SUNY Potsdam.  After college she taught ballroom in New Jersey where she worked at Arthur Murray studios for 3 years and then in an independently owned studio for another 4 years.  She has taught all levels and particularly loves to work with beginners.  Angel enjoys competing Pro-Am with her students as well as choreographing showcase routines.  Over the years Angel has had many wedding couples come to her for their first dance and continue afterwards because they had so much fun.  Angel has recently moved to Houston where she teaches in both American and International Styles specializing in International Standard.  She also teaches club dances such as West Coast Swing, Hustle, Night Club Two-Step and Bachata. CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Beginners Class - a 6 week rotation of dances designed with the beginner in mind.  A Beginner is anyone with zero dance experience through their first year of dancing, this class will start with the basic step of each dance and move forward at an easy pace.  Intermediate level dancers (1 year + of experience) will also benefit from this class as foundation concepts will be taught in each dance allowing them to focus on improving their leading and following technique without having to concentrate on remembering a new step. No partner necessary.

Intermediate Class - Designed for the dancer who knows the basic steps and is looking to learn more advanced steps and styling techniques. New steps and combinations will be taught at an easy pace with a focus on correct lead and follow.  No partner necessary, but couples will be expected to change partners during the rotation of the class as it is an important part of learning to lead and follow.  Each week a different dance will be taught at the intermediate level. (12+ week rotation)

Night Club Two-Step - Not to be confused with a country western two-step, Night Club Two-Step is one of the most practical and versatile social dances ever conceived.  It is designed to be used with contemporary soft rock ("Love Song") music.  This type of music is common just about everywhere - nightclubs, radio etc.  The rhythm of the dance is very simple and rarely changes from the 1 & 2 count.  This simple, romantic dance fills a gap where no other ballroom dance fits.  It gives the dancer, either beginning or advanced, the opportunity to express and create without rigid technique being required.  This is an attractive, romantic dance, and a real asset to learn as it will be used often.
